Test Significance: OPG stands for Orthopantomography. It is a special method for obtaining radiographs of the teeth-bearing jaws, both upper and lower.Because OPG’s give a bird’s-eye view of the teeth and the adjacent bones, they are useful in a wide-variety of conditions including impacted wisdom teeth, periodontal bone loss, finding source of dental pain, orthodontic assessment.At Godavari Diagnostic Centre, we have a state of the art specially assembled OPG machine that rotates around the jaw-bones, thus giving us a proficient idea about the structure of the jaw bones.
